These terms are the agreement between you and us about using DGTrack. We’ve tried to write them so you can actually read them.
1. This agreement
DGTrack is an Android application operated by DGTRACKIT LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use DGTrack.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and forms part of this agreement.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create a DGTrack account. If you invite someone under 18 into your family — a teenager who walks the dog, for instance — you are responsible for their use of the app and for what they can see in your family’s records.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and keep the information on your account accurate. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you — which matters here more than in most apps, because every entry you make carries your name in front of your whole family.
Tell us at help@dgtrack.store if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. Families and shared records
DGTrack is built around a household rather than a person. A family shares one live record, and everyone in it sees everything in it. Before you share an invite code, be clear that you’re doing exactly that.
- An invite code works for whoever holds it. Treat it like a key.
- A 24-hour sitter invite expires after one day and two uses, but everything the sitter saw while it was valid, they saw.
- The family owner can manage members and dogs, and can remove people. Other members can log and view.
- Entries you make stay part of the family’s record after you leave, because they’re part of that dog’s history.
- The dog-sitter care sheet leaves the app as plain text through whatever messaging app you choose. Where it goes after that is up to you.
You’re responsible for who you let into your family and for what they do once they’re in it.
5. Using it reasonably
Don’t use DGTrack to break the law, to harass anyone, or to store someone else’s personal information without their knowledge. Don’t try to break into other people’s families or accounts, don’t attack or overload the service, don’t reverse-engineer the app except where the law says you may, and don’t resell access to it.
DGTrack is for looking after your own household’s dogs. It isn’t licensed for use as the record-keeping system of a commercial kennel, veterinary practice, boarding facility or rescue organisation — get in touch if that’s what you need and we’ll talk.
6. Free and Premium
DGTrack is free for up to two dogs, with no ads and no limit on how many people share them. Premium adds unlimited dogs, notes and photos, medication tracking, insights and exports.
Premium costs $4.99/month and covers your whole household. One person subscribes and every member of that family gets the full app. It’s attached to the family, not to a person or to a dog.
- Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play, not by us. Your Google account is charged when you subscribe and at the start of each renewal period.
- Auto-renewal. It renews automatically until you cancel. That’s how Google Play subscriptions work.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time through Google Play — the app links you straight there. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under Google’s refund policy. We can’t process them ourselves, though we’ll help you if something has gone wrong.
- Payment details. We never see or hold your card or bank details. Google does.
- Price changes. If we change the price we’ll tell you in advance through the app and through Google Play, and you’ll be able to cancel before it takes effect.
- If Premium ends, your records stay. You go back to the free tier — which means dogs beyond the free limit become read-only rather than being deleted, and Premium-only fields stop accepting new entries. Nothing you already recorded is thrown away.
7. DGTrack is not a vet
Nothing in DGTrack is veterinary advice. Vaccination schedules, recommended actions, medication reminders, symptom flags and any other health guidance are general information based on your dog’s age, breed and the records you’ve entered. They are there so you know what to ask about. They are not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for a veterinary professional who has actually examined your dog.
Always confirm anything health-related with your own vet. If your dog seems unwell, call a vet — don’t wait for the app to flag something. Never delay seeking veterinary care because of anything DGTrack did or didn’t show you.
Reminders and notifications are a convenience, not a guarantee. Phones run out of battery, get left on silent, lose signal, and have their notifications restricted by the operating system to save power. Do not rely on DGTrack alone for anything that would harm your dog if it were missed — a critical medication dose, for instance. The app is there to help a household coordinate, not to be the last line of defence.
8. Walks, location and Health Connect
Walk tracking uses your device’s GPS while a walk is running. Distance, pace and route are approximate — they depend on your phone’s hardware and on signal conditions, and will sometimes be wrong. Don’t treat them as measurement-grade.
Tracking a walk uses battery and, if you’re not on Wi-Fi, mobile data. That’s on your plan and your device.
If you enable it, DGTrack writes completed walks to Health Connect as exercise and distance. Data written there is yours; you can remove it in Health Connect whenever you like. We never use Health Connect data for advertising.
Watch where you’re going. Don’t stare at your phone while walking your dog near traffic.
9. Your records stay yours
Everything you put into DGTrack — entries, notes, photos, health records — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it.
You give us the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to show it to the other members of your family, to back it up, and to process it so the app can do things like work out your dog’s rhythm or generate a PDF. That permission exists only for operating DGTrack, and it ends when you delete the content.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that photos of other people are shared with their knowledge.
Getting it out: Premium exports everything as CSV, plus a printable vet summary. Deleting it: see the delete your data page.
The app itself, its name, its design and its code remain ours.
10. Changes and availability
We’ll keep improving DGTrack, which means features will change and occasionally be removed. If we remove something significant that Premium subscribers pay for, we’ll give notice and you’ll be able to cancel.
We can’t promise the service will never be down. Syncing depends on your connection and on our hosting provider. The app works offline and queues your entries until you’re back, but live sharing with your family obviously requires both of you to be online at some point.
11. What we don’t promise
DGTrack is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every reminder will arrive.
Some states don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or veterinary costs, arising from your use of DGTrack.
Our total liability for any claim relating to DGTrack is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Indemnity
If your use of DGTrack, your content, or your breach of these terms causes a claim against us from someone else, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
14. Ending it
You can stop using DGTrack whenever you like and delete your account from inside the app. Deleting the app from your phone doesn’t cancel a subscription — do that through Google Play.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used in a way that harms other people or the service. Where it’s reasonable to do so, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to get your data out.
15. Google Play
DGTrack is distributed through Google Play, and your use of it is also subject to Google Play’s terms. This agreement is between you and us — Google isn’t a party to it and isn’t responsible for the app. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and we each agree to those courts having jurisdiction.
If you’re a consumer somewhere with laws that give you rights this section can’t take away, those rights still apply and nothing here is meant to remove them.
Before filing anything, email us at help@dgtrack.store. Most things get sorted out that way.
17. The rest
If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer this agreement to someone else; we can transfer it if the business is sold, and we’ll tell you if that happens.
These terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about DGTrack.
18. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we’ll update the date at the top of this page, and we’ll tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Carrying on using DGTrack after that means you accept the new version.
